  • Curious Georgina is happy about the notion that a day will come when “black will not be asked to get back, when brown
can stick around — when yellow will be mellow –
when the red man can get ahead, man — and
when white will embrace what is right.

    Great inauguration ceremony, Americans!

  • One step closer to the day when we are all judged, not by the color of our skin, but by the resolve in our heart! I was so happy, I cried.

  • I’ll be happy for the day my husband gets a deserved promotion and doesn’t continue to get passed over because the company wants more minorities and females for government initiative programs. So yeah, it would be nice for people to truly be color and gender blind and base things on actual accomplishment.

  • There was way tooooo much religion for me. I had to turn away. I was offended. But, the election and that speech was way enough for me!

Oh, I’m an atheist – I even advocate freedom from religion, at least most of the time. But in this case, I was charmed not only by the life story of Joseph E. Lowery, but by his tone and style. Obama chose him well. He aaalmost made up for that evangelist from earlier in the service. Almost.
