A Sunny Day at the Toronto Zoo
We strolled about, luxuriating in the warm sunshine of early spring. This Victoria Crowned Pigeon enjoyed the sunshine too, calmly spreading wings and tail to catch every ray.

a beautiful bird (at the risk of using an already over-used description, it is very majestic).
@ThisIstheLineofDivision - It’s actually a very large bird, more or less chicken-sized. I guess that’s something you can’t tell from the photo. Two of them roam free in their pavilion, quite striking and very tame.
@CuriousGeorgina - interesting. i know most people have a rather low opinion of pigeons, but to be honest, i’ve always liked them (of course, i’m from an area that’s not plagued with them).
